Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. The funniest show you've never heard of. My dad let me voice mail to watch it without describing what I was to see. I won't be so mean to you: Take Japanese game show from the 80's which has massive overly-elaborate physical stunts and challenges that would make any safety officer cry (already funny by itself) and replace the dialog NOT with a direct translation, but something original and too funny to explain. Picture the crew from Mystery Science Theater 3000 giving the job to re-dub American Gladiators, only the contestants are your everyday Japanese citizens (not beefed up), and they suspend those challenges over dirty lakes, mud, and more.
Okay, the bad news: It's on TNN, which I consider as much a waste of network bandwidth as I do any religious channel or infomercial channel. Their whole network is based off of Star Trek reruns and bad wrestling. Even sadder, this show is not mentioned on the network's web site besides in their schedule. Maybe a more worthy network is trying to pick up the show.
Most Extreme Elimination Challenge is on Saturdays at 9pm and Sundays at 8pm, they show two 30 minute episodes back to back. My girlfriend and I both find it hilarious, and we've added it to our required comedy watching along with The Daily Show, Simpsons, and once I find the DVD set (sold out everywhere I went the day it came out), Family Guy.

HELL YES! I too just discovered this show. It is the apex of human genius! Alas, I fear it will be one of those rare and most excellent low-brow shows, like so many forebearers, that will experience all too brief a lifespan (i.e. Ben Stiller Show, The State, Saturday TV Funhouse, etc.). Get it while you can (or in the words of Captain Tenille of MXC, "Get it on!!")...

I agree that the show is one of the funniest on TV as of now, and that it probably won't last long, but TNN is not a waste of network bandwidth! What's wrong with trek? They also run shows like "The A-Team", "CSI" and "Blind Date", along with many other so-bad-they're-good guilty pleasures. Even if it is a bad network, that only means that they won't feel the need to cut "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge" so quickly!

I actually know some Japanese and I was wondering why most of the stuff the corresponders said had nothing to do with what the symbols said. Knowing that they dub it the way the do makes this show all the better.

This is honestly the funniest thing on television. I happened upon it about a month ago, and religiously watch it, although i have seen some repeats. Here's to hoping someone gets their hands on a couple more episodes!!!

This is definately the funniest show on TV....EVER. I busted my gut for one whole hour straight last night. Not only that but my parents, friend and boyfriend all laughed just as hard as I did. I have never in my life watched any television show regularly but this may be a first. I just wish someone would tape episode and put them on Kazaa.....

This is truly one of the funniest shows to ever grace TV land. This show is extremely stupid, but that is what makes it so funny! I think that TNN should air this bag of laughs more often, or even better, just share it with other companies (eg..Fox, Gobal). The last thing I have to say is that if haven't watched this yet, you should! It's too damn funny. The dubbing is absolutly the best part of the show!!

Most Xtreme Challenge is 1 pf the greatest shows in the history of Japanese TV, although it probably is the best, hopefully TNN will come out w/ more episodes, and then there will be even more pain and laughter. This program is a 10 out of 10

I could not believe that one show could be so freakin' funny. Forget everything you ever knew before, MXC is THE handsdown greatest show ever on TV. Kenny, Vic and Guy are gods among men and I literally end up on the floor by the end of the program. It is so funny that milk once came out of my nose and i haven't drank milk since '88. Guy La Douche is from the same hard-hitting, investigative reporting school as Jimmy Olson and Dr. Hunter S. Thompson. However much his passion for the story sometimes compromises his detached objectivity, he is a journalistic inspiration. Too bad TNN can't have nearly as much on the ball. Yeah this 'bad wrestling', do you even know what you are talking about? I can agree with you about the Star Trek shit, but not the WWE! That is the best sport, even if it is scripted. How many other athletes do you know of that work beat up every single day, 200 days of the year. I always say that the one's who hate wrestling are the ones who were to pathetic to make it, therefore that is why they hate it so much! And that's the bottomline 'cuz I said so!

Oh man, I LOVE this show!! And I'm only 13!! My whole family thinks it's HILARIOUS!! Yeah, brain, I saw that guy, too... One of my favorite episodes is the one where There's that guy saying 'Nosenuggets!' and I also like the one with inventors against.. I forgot.. but anyway, there was an inventor who invented the weiner grabber and the slogan was, 'If you need to snatch your weiner, use a grabber!'

I wish MXC was publicized more. Hopefully, "Spike TV" (no longer the name, right?) won't take it off. It's probably the greatest show ever, mocking reality tv is it's own special way. Kenny can be so stupidly adorable and Guy is hilarious. Not to mention Captain Tenneal and his little talk with the participants in the beginning, that's always a laugh.

I'm in Canada...been watching MXC for a couple of months....it just gets funnier and funnier. Where do these guys get this stuff?!! The best yet was last Saturday..Elimination Idol...puke rock song...I need a Conjungal Visit...and the competition between the porn workers and the home improvement (tub cockers)...my fiance and I are still quoting it and laughing our asses off. They were banned from japanese tv for a while because they attacked tabloid paper but they made all sorts of stupid shows in the 80s and 90s in Japan. why do you have to take all the credits?

I watched their weekend marathon during my son's birthday party while at his grandparent's house. They all think I went insane. Half the room was glued to it by the second episode. We were rolling. The others watched golf in the other room, with the door shut so they could hear over the laughter. Hmmm .... golf vs. MXC MXC!!!!!!

I like Captain Teneal, "Get it on!". My second favorite charachter is Guy LeDouche. I'm not so hip on Kenny and Vic, but they are okay. I would love to try the painful Log Drop. The set looks like what you would expect after a dreadful industrial accident. I wonder how many serious injuries that were sustained during the contests that never made it onto the show.

My new favorite show! My favorite character on the show is Kenny Blankenship. He is so funny that Vic Romano has to smack him with his fan. My favorite game is Bolder Dash, which is Kenny's favorite. Other games I like are (the painful) Log Drop, Dash To Death and Rotating Surfboard Of Death. As Kenny and Captain Tennell say "LET'S GO" and "DON'T GET ELIMINATED!"

After just watching 3 back to back episodes on Saturday night, I came to work today to once again tell everyone that they MUST watch this show! I can't think of another show on TV that makes me laugh out loud like this one does (although King of the Hill is a close second). It's fabulous!

My 5-year old son and I love to watch MXC. Thank God he doesn't get the dubbed shtick, but he loves watching those contestants end up in the drink. He did see an asian guy on the street last week and said "hey dad, it's Guy Le Douche!" We can't wait for the next Log Drop or Shaft Grabbing.

If you like MXC, try finding other stuff by Takeshi Kitano (aka Vic Romano). Some of his stuff is funny, some's rather violent (though sometimes in a funny way). He's a famous Japanese director/actor in both film and tv, and I saw his latest film, a remake of Zatoichi, a few months ago at a film festival. Highly recommended, but it's violent so it's not for children.

This is quite a good show. Hoping they air all 26 episodes. Kenny and Vic rule! Captain Tenneal is also classic. Leave it to the Japanese. I can't believe some of the stunts. They must hurt! Almost like a 3 Stooges episode. I know I would not want to run full bore into a door that is not a door. The episode where they had to do the log roll thing also looked hard. I caught myself laughing when the guy w the goofy helmet suffered whiplash.

"Don't get elliminated!" The three best words I could ever hear! I'm only 15 years young and I to have fallen head over heels in love with this show.It the Most Extremly funniest show ever. I nearlly peed in my pants the first time I caught this bone crunching show on TV. Everyone like to what dumb people get hurt. Did anyone see the USA vs the world episod.(great one). The only reference I've found to Woody Allen's "What's Up, Tiger Lily" is in a post by jimrome back in August. "Tiger Lily" is the granddaddy of all "overdub" films, and still funny after nearly 40 years. Another classic "overdub" film is "J-Men Forever", produced by The Firesign Theater back in the early 80's. The Firesign gang strings together a handful of old movie serials from the 30's and 40's, like "Rocketman" and "Captain America", and inject themselves and new dialogue into the works. It's hard to find this gem, but worth it. MXC is, of course, made along the same lines, and clearly is the work of brilliantly twisted minds. As fast and furious as the action is, it is plainly obvious that an incredible amount of time and work have gone into this parody. MXC, unfortunately, doesn't appeal to the millions of morons who don't aren't bright enough to understand such things as nuance, double-entendre, and puns firing faster than the guns in "Brass Balls". Too bad.

My mom *likes* this show - and she doesn't even like The Simpsons...and I don't mind that they keep showing the same over and over...there's nothing like watching Kenny take a boulder to the head or playing "Name that Stain!" I love the episode when the USA vs. The World and in "sinkers & floaters" one of the American guys was running so fast down this little hill and he fell flat on his face! Amazingly, he got right back up and ended up making it to the other side!

"MXC" is awesome, but the rest of SpikeTV isn't necessarily a waste of space. "Stripperella" is pretty good, too, but yeah, "MXC" is certainly the best show on it! I especially like the interactions between Vic and Kenny, they're the ultimate straight- man/ funny- man duo! It's also quite funny to see Captain Tenneal talk to the contestants before each show. You'll all be delighted to know that they'll be starting a new season of "MXC" some time next month! Until then, "Don't Get Eliminated!!"

I live in Texas and watch MXC on Spike network! I used to think Spike network was a stupid channel for dumb men. I first heard of it by hearing my boyfriend yelling from the next room, "OH MY GOD! HAHAHAHAHAH COME SEE THIS!!!!!" and I'm so happy I did! Recently there was a marathon of it for 14 hours, and I watched a pretty good chunk of it! Does anyone know where I can find pictures of those "DON'T GET ELIMINATED" guys or Guy LeDouche? I want to make a screen saver!!!! MXC forever!

MXC is shear brilliance! The combination of people hurting themselves with cheesy dubbing such as "if you fall, I will tell everyone that you cry during sex." "I do not!" is just plain genius. Captain Tenneal is hilarious with his pre-contest question to the contestants, such as "How many of you believe that looks are superficial and that what is on the inside is most important?"-YAY-"Well, you are wrong. looks are the most important. It's damn funny.it reminds me of my childhood because I watched this show in Japan in 80's.Even thougb it's translated in English,it's still funny.I just want you to know that the show is old, though...because Japanese comedy was used to be stupid and crazy=funny, but now it's slightly different. I wish that they'd bring MST3K back on the air with the original bots (Beaulieu-Crow and Murphy-Servo) and any host (Joel, Mike, whoever), but this is a half-hour reincarnation of that show, to say the least. Damn the politically correct; this show is hysterical, no matter what ethnicity the contestants are. BTW, "babaganoush" is a spreadable delectable in the Middle East. It's a homage to Chris Darga's (Ken's) mother, who is Lebanese.
